Residence in Santa Fe, New Mexico
University of Tennessee / Professor David Fox
The design concept of this project revolves around the notion of embracing natural light. Strategically placed windows and skylights invite the sun's rays to dance within the interiors, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interplay of light and shadows showcases the innate beauty of Santa Fe's landscape, infusing the space with a unique ambiance. The open floor plan allows for a fluid and versatile living experience. The seamless flow between different areas of the house fosters connectivity, enabling a dynamic lifestyle that effortlessly blends with the surrounding environment.. At the heart of the house lies a captivating central garden, acting as a tranquil oasis amidst the residence. This space brings nature to the forefront, providing a calming backdrop to the living spaces and serving as an organizing element for the overall layout. The garden becomes a focal point, inviting residents to enjoy its beauty and fostering a deep connection to the natural world.
